Brownies with orange filling, so soft and juicy

CHOCOLATE brownie filled with orange is completely irresistible and soft.

Ingredients:

For the orange filling:

500 ml of freshly squeezed orange juice
grated zest of 1 orange
50 g of sugar
35 g of corn flour
100 ml of water
40 g of condensed milk

For the test:

50 g of dark chocolate, chopped
225 g of flour
1 baking powder
50 g of cocoa flour
125 g of sugar
a pinch of salt
350 g of condensed milk
100 ml of plain milk
100 ml of oil
130 g of melted dark chocolate

Recipe for chocolate brownies with orange:

Mix the cornmeal and water in a small bowl and set aside. Combine the juice, orange zest and sugar in a pan and heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, then continue to cook for a further 3 minutes. Pour in the cornmeal liquid and whisk continuously until the filling thickens. Let the filling cook for another 3-5 minutes, then add the condensed milk and mix well. Turn off the heat and let the filling cool.

Line a 13×9 pan with transparent foil, pour the cooled filling into the pan and spread it evenly, then place the pan in the freezer. When the filling has cooled, take it out of the pan and leave it in the freezer with transparent film.

Prepare the cookie dough by mixing flour, salt, cocoa and sugar, then add the wet ingredients and mix well. Then stir in the chopped chocolate. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a tray with baking paper. Pour half of the dough mixture into the pan and spread it evenly.

Place the frozen orange filling on top of the dough, then pour in the remaining dough and spread it to cover the filling. Bake for 25-30 minutes, check with a toothpick whether it’s ready – the toothpick should come out with a moist crumb, but not wet. If the dough is wet, continue baking and repeat the test.

When it is baked, leave the cake to cool completely in the pan, then cut them into pieces, decorate with melted chocolate or a piece of orange and enjoy!
