The New Year in Budva is traditionally celebrated with fireworks and songs by Vlad Georgiev, Mediabiro writes.
According to the assistant director of TO Budva, Nikola Kralj, Budva is recognized as the best destination for New Year’s holidays.
“It’s really a great pleasure that this year, the 25th jubilee year, we welcomed the New Year in a great environment, with great performers and in a great atmosphere,” said Kralj, adding that the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Budva will continue to improve the following receptions and all manifestations.
Vlado Georgiev confirmed that Budva is a great host and points out that any other place could not replace what he experiences here.
“Budva decided that I would be the headliner this evening and I was happy, because I am from these parts. This is the place I’ve been coming to all my life. I’d rather be in Budva tonight than anywhere else,” said Georgiev.
As he says, he wanted people to be as relaxed as possible this year and not to want too much, because that can lead to disappointment.
Before him, the singer Angellina praised the efforts of the organizers to satisfy the taste of all ages, and she especially expressed her satisfaction with the audience, who sang along with her.
“I see that there was a lot of younger audience listening to me and I was really happy about that, we did something for everyone and the time was phenomenal”, said Angellina.
New Year’s holidays in Budva are given a special charm by a traditional classical music concert, which will be held on January 1 at 1 p.m. under the name “Mood Music”, performed by the Mediterranean Revival Orchestra under the baton of Vili Ferdinandi and with soloists: Dušan Svilar, Nevena Đoković, Ljubica Vraneš, Dragoljub Bajić, Lana Asija Dabović and young violinist Vasilij Hadžić. The musical editor of this concert, which represents one of the most solemn events in the calendar of Budva events, is Milan Stupar.
The evening of the last day of the program, January 1, will be opened by “Slagworth” band from 7 p.m., followed by local musicians Jack Lupino, Adi Soše and Al Music Band, and at the end of the program on the square, one of the biggest regional music stars, Dino Merlin.
