Bugatti shows the design it rejected for the Tourbillon

In a video on its YouTube channel, Bugatti shows us the final two designs it prepared for the Tourbillon, so that the company’s executives can decide which one will go into production.

This decision was made in February 2022, almost 2.5 years before the car’s presentation, with the alternative design having a smaller grille, smaller air intakes, different lighting fixtures and a different bonnet.

Let me remind you that the car carries the all-new V16 8.3-liter 64-valve atmospheric engine that rotates up to 9,500 rpm and produces 1,000 horses with 900 Nm of torque. The engine weighs 252 kg and is combined with 3 electric motors. Two are mounted on the front axle and the third on the rear.

There is a 24.8 kWh 800 volt battery, with the electric motors producing 800 horsepower. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic with dual clutch technology. The total produces 1,800 horses and the car weighs 1,995 kilograms, the same as the Chiron, despite the addition of the hybrid system.
