Along with marking the production of the two millionth model GL8 MPV in China, Buick also showed the OMPV Concept to the public.
The new study is described as an “Organic Mobile Private Villa” and heralds the next generation of luxury minivans. Buick hasn’t released many details, but the concept is said to feature a futuristic design with a “forward-looking organic aesthetic.”
The designers also gave the concept an aerodynamic silver body and a contrasting black roof, as well as aerodynamically optimized wheels.
Buick didn’t show the interior, but says it “presents an organic and dynamic environment.” The company added that the cabin can be transformed into a living room, a playroom for children, a mobile meeting room and a private space for executives.
Buick hasn’t revealed details about the powertrain, but it’s either a plug-in hybrid or an electric vehicle, with the latter seeming more likely.
