PRESIDENT Aleksandar Vučić and the delegation of Serbia, which consists of government ministers, are in Budapest today, where they are participating in the session of the Council for Strategic Cooperation between Serbia and Hungary.

The Working Group for Cooperation in Infrastructure includes Minister of Environmental Protection Irena Vujović, State Secretary in the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Mihailo Mišić, Minister of Construction and Transport of Hungary Janoš Lazar and Minister of Public Administration and Territorial Development of Hungary Tibor Navračič.

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Aleksandar Martinović and Hungarian Minister of Agriculture Ištvan Nađ are in the working group for agriculture, while the Working Group for Cooperation in the Field of Culture and Education includes Minister of Culture Nikola Selaković, Minister of Education Slavica Đukić Dejanović, Minister of Science and Technological Development Jelena Begović and Hungarian Minister of Culture and Innovation Balaž Hanko.

The Working Group for Demographic Issues includes the Minister of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, Nemanja Starović, the Minister of Family Care and Demography, Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski, and the political director of the Prime Minister of Hungary, Balaž Orban.

When it comes to national communities, the working group consists of the Minister for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue Tomislav Žigmanov, MP and President of the Union of Vojvodina Hungarians Balint Pastor, Minister in the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of Hungary Gergej Gujaš, MP Ljubomir Aleksov and State Secretary in the Cabinet of the President Government of Hungary, Janos Nagi.

The Working Group for European Integration includes Minister of Justice Maja Popović, Minister of European Integration Tanja Miščević, Minister of EU Affairs of Hungary Janoš Boka and Minister of Justice Bence Tužon.

Vučić met with Orban

President Vučić met with the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, before the session of the Strategic Council with cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and Hungary.

The second session of the Strategic Council for cooperation between Serbia and Hungary

This is the second session of the Strategic Council for Cooperation between Serbia and Hungary, and the first session attended by the presidents, prime ministers and members of the two governments was held in June 2023 in Palić.

Agreements were then signed for cooperation in the field of customs, exchange of information, development of road infrastructure, defense and internal affairs.

Agreements were also signed on the construction of an oil pipeline that will connect the refinery in Novi Sad with Hungary, as well as an agreement on the establishment of a joint venture between Srbijagas and the Hungarian power company MVM.
