According to the consulting company CORE.XP, which Kommersant refers to, the largest number of new brands comes from China and South Korea (HEA, Balabala, Baasploa, Ellasay) – a total of 11 networks, which increased the share of countries to 55%.
IBC Real Estate adds that among new Asian brands the fashion segment leads (69%). Equipment and electronics are also in demand.
Brands from Turkey are also appearing on the market, but their share has decreased to 10%: only two new chains have appeared in the Russian Federation – Chakra and Mai Collection. The CIS countries also reduced the rate of penetration into the Russian market – to 4% of the total share.
For comparison: in 2023, 22 new brands came to Russia, specifically from Turkey and the EU. At that time, only one South Korean brand appeared – inni clothing and shoes. EU companies have not completely disappeared from the horizon, their share is 25%, and there are newcomers here too – for example, the Italian chains Parpa and Rinascimento and the Spanish Bimba y Lola.
