DAPURPACUID – BYD M6 was able to captivate visitors to GIIAS 2024, at its first appearance in Indonesia. Success was also achieved by the first MPV of the Chinese brand.
Named as the first Multi Purpose Electric Vehicle (MPEV) in Indonesia, PT BYD Motor Indonesia promises the best mobility to meet the mobility needs of modern families.
As is known, the presence of M6 completes the series of BYD models that have been marketed previously such as Dolphin, Atto 3 and Seal. Including the latest variants of Dolphin Dynamic and Atto 3 Advanced with competitive prices.
President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, Eagle Zhao, hopes that the presence of this series of BYD models will be received positively and will make it easier for consumers to be more adaptive to vehicle electrification.
“We hope that Indonesian automotive consumers will accept the products and technologies that BYD offers during GIIAS 2024 to enhance the driving experience in the new era,” he added at the GIIAS 2024 exhibition.
On the other hand, the BYD M6 is the fourth model of the manufacturer to be officially marketed in Indonesia, and through the momentum of the annual automotive exhibition, the ordering period for prospective consumers has begun.
M6 and all BYD models displayed throughout GIIAS 2024 also received a positive response, where they were able to record an order number (SPK) of 2,920 units.
In fact, based on the records recorded by BYD Motor Indonesia, the SPK achievement for the M6 is the highest compared to other models. Including the two new variants released.
Head of Marketing BYD Motor Indonesia, Luther Panjaitan, claimed that the SPK acquisition that M6 was able to achieve reached more than 50 percent of the total orders.
“During the 11-day exhibition, the positive achievement of BYD’s latest MPEV recorded more than half of the total SPK we achieved. Even BYD’s product line has been tested by thousands of visitors,” said Luther on the sidelines of the release of the Media Test Drive M6 Jakarta-Bandung-Jakarta, Wednesday (7/8).
With the number of SPK, it means that the number of orders from M6 itself reached around 1,500-1,600 units. Luther claims that this result makes M6 quite well received by the public.
Testing Various Road Terrains to Bandung
BYD Motor Indonesia held a test drive session for media crews with a travel route of Jakarta-Bandung-Jakarta, with a total distance traveled (interval) of around 339 kilometers.
Departing from the starting point at the BYD Haka Cibubur dealer, the group will pass through various types of road terrain in order to test the performance and toughness of the BYD M6.
“BYD M6 is designed to provide a comfortable and safe driving experience in various road conditions. We hope that media partners can experience firsthand the superior technology and design that we offer,” added Luther.
The BYD M6 comes in three variants, namely the M6 Standard, M6 Superior, and M6 Superior Captain, which offer different passenger seating configurations where the captain seat type is only for six passengers.
