BYD offers karaoke in its cars!

BYD has just signed a partnership with Singing Machine and Stingray Karaoke, to offer a complete karaoke experience in its cars.

This partnership will make it possible to benefit from karaoke microphones as well as an update of theapplication Stingray Karaoke for vehicles BYD all over the world.

An unprecedented partnership between BYD and two big names in karaoke

BYD has announced a strategic partnership with The Singing Machine Company, a global leader in consumer karaoke, as well as Stingray, a leading music, media and technology company. The objective is to offer, on board BYD models, a complete karaoke experience for the entertainment of passengers! Indeed, Singing Machine will launch a duo of onboard karaoke microphonesdesigned to integrate with the Stingray Karaoke application as well as BYD’s infotainment system, embedded in its vehicles.

A new way to have fun in BYD cars

This new offering will complement the existing partnership with Stingray, launched in 2023, which has already enabled millions of BYD customers around the world to benefit from the Stingray Karaoke application in their car. This new partnership will make it possible to provide additional functionalities, such as karaoke playing and scoring modeaccompanied by a catalog of the app’s most popular songs, with genres such as pop, rock, Disney music and party music. Additionally, future releases will include live loudness correction, which automatically adjusts the singer’s voice in real time to keep it in sync with the main melody of the song.

L’touch screen of BYD’s infotainment system will provide access to Stingray’s extensive international song catalog, searchable by title, artist, lyrics or genre. BYD and Stingray made sure to give the safety priority customers, by deactivating the scrolling of karaoke lyrics on the central screen, visible to the driver, when the vehicle is in driving mode. Furthermore, a dedicated application for passengers will be available, allowing passengers to use their mobile devices to view lyrics and control song selection, while sound plays through the car’s audio system speakers.

The new Singing Machine mics will be manufactured by BYD Electronics, and are expected to launch by end of year 2024 in Europe and Brazil, before being available for BYD vehicles worldwide from the beginning of 2025.
