Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 Update Released with New Maps, Weapons and More

Just four weeks after the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Treyarch and other Activision development teams have prepared a massive content update for the game. As previously mentioned, Season 1 has released with brand new multiplayer maps, two new modes, new weapons, security updates, and more.

Hideout and Extraction will be two new mid-sized maps that support 6v6 play. At the same time, Heirloom joins the game as small-sized maps that support 6v6 and 2v2 modes. With the update that will come in the middle of Season 1, Black Ops 4’s Hacienda and new Racket maps will also come to the game.

As for other fun modes coming to the game, the Ransack mode will allow players to collect gold bars and bring them back to their stash for safety while keeping the other team at bay. The second mode, Prop Hunt, allows players to take on the role of Prop or Hunter.

The seven new weapons joining the game include the Krig C AR, Saug SMG, Maelstrom Shotgun and AMR Mod 4 Sniper Rifle, as well as the collapsible Sirin 9mm as a secondary. Power Drill and Cleaver are added to the game as finishing weapons in close combat.

Players who like the zombie mode must wait for the mid-season update to play on the new Citadelle des Morts map.

The Ricochet anti-cheat team said that to ensure cheaters can’t join Ranked play from the start, players must win at least 50 matches in standard play rosters before unlocking Ranked play rosters.
