The last season of Call of Duty Modern Warfare III called The Haunting will start already on Wednesday. It will have a horror and Halloween theme and, as usual, it will bring new weapons, new maps, but also new modes and a series of events. Things will be coming to both the main game, Warzone and mobile Warzone.
Multiplayer
The Drive Thru map will be added to multiplayer, which will be a new horror-themed 6v6 map with a clown restaurant and a parking lot. Mad Cow will be added, an equally smaller 6v6 map with a slaughterhouse located in a harbor.
Five variants of the Shipment map will be added, with a dark Ghost Ship version, a training Arena Shipment version, a retro Bit-Ment version, a daily Sunny Shipment version or a retro-futuristic Stay High version.
Multiplayer modes will be supplemented by four modes, Hordepoint, Mutation, Infected and Arcade.
- Hordepoint is a variation of Hardpoint and therefore defense against the other team, but now the zombies will join the other team.
- Arcade mode will increase the jump height of the characters and add shields.
- Mutation mode will offer the game both humans and mutants, with mutants having four different classes.
- Infected comes with a creepy setting where the infected try to kill people using claws and throwing knives. At the beginning, one of the players appears infected.
Zombie mode will only receive small updates, namely free Dark Aether Rift Runes, Double Schematic Recovery will be added.
Warzone
Warzone also gets Halloween maps, where The Haunting: Hellspawn Map variant of the Rebirth island and The Haunting: Vondel Night, the night variant of the Vondel map will arrive.
Two new modes will be added, namely Purgatory on hellspawn maps with a sandbox setting and infinite respawns. Crazy powerups, portals or flying shipments, rest in safe zones and much more will also be added. The second mode will be Zombie Royale on Vondel hellspawn map will be with zombies.
Warzone Mobile will have the same seasonal content as the big game, it will get a multiplayer map Hardhat, Zombie Royale and a series of events.
Skins
In addition, the store and the battle pass will offer horror themes such as Michael Myers, The Walking Dead, Terrifier, Trick ‘R Treat or Smile 2.
