Calvin Klein teams up with rising talent Nensi Dojaka

Nensi Dojaka has joined forces with Calvin Klein. The collaboration between the emerging designer and the established brand was unveiled during Nensi Dojaka’s SS25 show at London Fashion Week.

Against the neo-Gothic backdrop of the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, Dojaka combined her intricate and sensual visual language with the minimalist beauty of Calvin Klein in a range of lingerie and clothing, alternating strength and softness. “The collection is an exploration of femininity,” Dojaka explained in a statement. “But I never wanted to approach femininity in the ‘normal’ way. I wanted to repaint the image of women and show both sides: the vulnerability, but also the strength that defines them. For me, femininity is about embracing the contrast that lives within us.”

Her vision came to life through detailed harness underwear that draws attention to the collarbone, hips and back with harness straps that frame the chest, sheer layers that emphasize the body rather than hide it, while bonded edges add sculptural detail to the silhouettes.

There were also sheer black bodysuits made from recycled microfiber, sheer knit pants and tops to reveal and accentuate what’s underneath, slip dresses fashioned with sculptural hardware evolved from the Calvin Klein archives, and modern tailored blazers and miniskirts to “balance the delicate designs.”

In the show notes Dojaka reveals that the collection has “purpose and wearability,” with the layered petal cups designed to enhance invisibly, while featherweight knits quietly sculpt using what she calls Calvin Klein’s “highly developed technical engineering” to amplify the wearer.

Commenting on the Klein collaboration, Dojaka added: “This partnership felt particularly special because Calvin Klein has always been on my mood board. It was so inspiring for me to explore the brand’s timeless designs – and to work with the team to technically develop my ideas and build a full product line of silhouettes that are desirable for all women. That innovation was something we all really wanted to celebrate.”

Eva Serrano, Global Brand President of Calvin Klein, said: “Nensi is doing something truly special in womenswear. Her vision and talent are at the highest level, and when I think of the creative partners who have influenced Calvin Klein, Nensi is part of that history. It’s powerful and rewarding to see this design partnership that has so organically leveraged the strengths of both brands come out into the world.”
