Candidates for the 2024 Daugavpils Municipality Awards have been approved

The “Award of the Year” award has been awarded by the Daugavpils municipality in various categories since 2010. A total of 34 candidates were nominated for the award this year: in education – 9, in culture – 2, in sports – 3, in the national economy – 8, in health care and social protection – 4, in social activities – 3, without specifying a nomination – 5 8 more candidates have been nominated for other awards, including the Lifetime Contribution Award.

For contribution to the development of the city and achievements in 2024, deputies of Daugavpils self-government decided to award the “Award of the Year”:

– “Education” – Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the Daugavpils State Gymnasium Sign Gabrane;

– “Culture” – to the choreographer of the Daugavpils Theater Irina Bogeruk and a troupe of dancers;

– “Sport” – to the speedway driver Andrzej Lebedev;

– “National Economy” – Pulsar Optics;

– “Health and social care” – laboratory specialist at Daugavpils Regional Hospital Leontine Milasevic;

– “Public activities” – to the society Latgales asie āķi and the head of the administrative records department of the Self-Government Police Jazep Ostrovsky.

After reviewing the candidates nominated for the Lifetime Contribution Award, it was decided to award the head of the STARS leisure club of the Jaunība Children and Youth Center Alvintin Mamaev.

The award ceremony will take place on November 18 at the Daugavpils Theater at a gala event dedicated to the day of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia.

Traditionally, other local government awards will be presented at the festive event. This year Certificates of Honor will be given to:

• long-term employee of the Daugavpils Sports School Regina Medica;

• teacher of vocational education at Daugavpils College of Technology and Tourism Inese Shulina;

• biology teacher at Daugavpils secondary school Valstspilsētas Iveta Leyskina;

• teacher-speech therapist of Daugavpils 9th preschool educational institution Halyna Romantsevich;

• Deputy Director of Daugavpils Technological Secondary School-Lyceum for Educational Affairs Lilia Maynarte;

• administrator of computer systems and computer networks Daugavpils ūdens Vladislav Podobed;

• senior inspector of the Latgale Regional State Labor Inspectorate Alla Drashka;

• doctor at Daugavpils Regional Hospital Vitaly Novik;

• Head of the landscaping department Labiekārtošana D Eleonora Jakubseviciene;

• electrician of contact networks of the electrical facilities section of Daugavpils satiksme Igor Kokin;

• truck driver Daugavpils satiksme Vladislav Grod;

• Customer Service Specialist at the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia Mudite Vingre;

• Chairman of the Board of the Society “Daugavpils Club of the Politically Repressed” Genovefa Kechina;

• heating equipment engineer Daugavpils siltumtīkli Elena Yukhnevich;

• Head of the chemical laboratory Daugavpils siltumtīkli Dzintra Urtane;

• acting Chief Prosecutor of the Latgale Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office Kristine Repsha-Kondratieva;

• teacher of design and technology at Daugavpils secondary school Valstspilsētas Inga Vasilieva;

• natural history teacher at Daugavpils secondary school Draudzīgā aicinājuma Svetlana Rudko.

The “Certificate of Honor” award with a silver badge of honor will be awarded to:

• long-term leader of the association Draudzība – K Elena Shalai;

• teacher of fine arts at Daugavpils secondary school Zinātņu Anna Meksha;

• sports teacher at Daugavpils secondary school Zinātņu Sergey Vasiliev;

• head of the economic department of the Daugavpils Fortress and Museums Department Janis Ostrovskis;

• sound engineer of the Daugavpils Palace of Culture Valerie Bernatek;

• bus driver Daugavpils satiksme Alexander Kisis;

• social worker of the social work sector of the social service department of the Social Service Valentina Sidorova;

• Deputy Head of the Daugavpils Department of the State Border Service (Head of the Criminal Investigation Service) Maris Pukinskis;

• preschool teacher Rugeley Galina Siritsa;

• senior dental assistant at Daugavpils Dental Clinic Irene Lindenau.

Head of Traffic Regulation and Rescue Department Alexey Lomash and head of the operational duty department of the Daugavpils municipal police Sergey Pastukhov will be awarded a “Certificate of Honor” and a silver badge of honor at the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Daugavpils Municipal Police.
