Canon unveils the latest addition to the company’s portable printer lineup with the launch of the SELPHY QX20.
An exciting evolution over its predecessor, the QX10, allowing users to continue to expand their creative horizons with greater freedom.
Leaning on popular social media formats, this upgraded printer now supports the 2:3 format and square paper sizes. The SELPHY QX20 comes in three stylish colors: dark grey, classic white and the trendy terracotta red.
The new QX20 is a must-have gadget for creative souls. Whether making visual notes for personal projects; decorates diaries or scrapbooks with stickers; making personal notes for loved ones; or adorning a wall, the SELPHY QX20 delivers high-quality and durable images directly from a smartphone. With several paper formats to choose from, you can take on creative challenges, such as a 365-day photo challenge, where you can print one photo a day to remember the small daily moments.
The SELPHY QX20 requires no ink cartridges and uses dye sublimation technology to produce smudge-free, high-quality photos. After the photo has been printed, a coating is applied to the photo to resist the effects of fading. With a built-in battery and Wi-Fi compatibility, the printer can be used on the go to turn precious moments into physical memories on the spot. And you can easily take it with you and it is easy to carry in a bag. Thanks to its compact size, the printer can be placed on a shelf or on a desk, as it takes up very little space.
In addition to the selection of paper formats, you can also express yourself creatively with the SELPHY Photo Layout app, where you can make fun, artistic touches like adding stamps, filters, borders and text to the photos. For example, you can add a snowflake to a selfie and use it as a place card for the Christmas table, or add hearts to a homemade Valentine’s gift. The updates to the app also include collages, frames and custom borders, with a new edge-to-edge feature to add more to the printed image.
The QX20 will be part of Canon’s growing range of portable, mobile printers. It includes i.a. CP1500, a super compact photo printer for the desktop, and the Zoemini range, a range of pocket size printers for printing photos with adhesive backing. The QX20 fits perfectly into this range – a functional, stylish printer and perfect for unleashing creativity, anywhere, anytime.
