Marvel fans can already rub their hands at the thought of the upcoming film “Captain America: Brave New World”, which will debut on the big screen on February 14, 2025.
Marvel isn’t having the easiest time after the Avengers story ended. Subsequent films from the Marvel universe have rather average viewing figures and, consequently, revenues. However, the latest trailer arouses a lot of emotions, primarily thanks to the figure of one of the most fascinating and dangerous antagonists – the Red Hulk. The film promises not only spectacular action scenes, but also a deeper look into the new era of Captain America.
The new Captain America in all his glory
After Steve Rogers traveled back in time at the end of “Avengers: Endgame,” he gave the shield to his friend Sam Wilson, aka Falcon. Sam, now as the new Captain America, faces the challenge of filling his predecessor’s enormous shoes. Wilson, who previously supported the Avengers as Falcon, now faces new responsibilities and expectations as a symbol of hope and justice. His character, while different from Rogers, brings a new perspective to the role of Captain America, combining his military experience with a deep understanding of contemporary social issues.
What draws attention in the latest trailer is the return of the Red Hulk, one of the most intriguing characters in the Marvel universe. In the comics, Red Hulk is the alter ego of General Thaddeus “Thundebolt” Ross, who has now become President of the United States. Ross, a longtime enemy of the Hulk (Bruce Banner), underwent experiments that transformed him into a powerful red giant. The Red Hulk not only has superhuman strength and durability, but also the ability to absorb energy, which makes him an even more dangerous opponent. His return to the screen heralds epic battles, a foretaste of which can be seen in the video above.
“Captain America: Brave New World” is a film that not only continues the legacy of Captain America, but also introduces new storylines and characters that may define the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sam Wilson as the new Captain America will not only have to face physical threats, but also face internal conflicts.
