On the second ten days of December 2024, the members of the “Car of the Year for Greece” institution will vote for the “Car of the Year 2025”.

The first step towards the selection of the new winner has been made. The final ten finalists include this year, as last year, 11 cars, as two of the 33 total candidate models tied at the end of the ranking. The winner will be announced in mid-December, by the Special Press journalists who make up the institution.
The models selected for the final showdown in alphabetical order are as follows:

- ATTO WORLD 3
- Dacia Duster
- Fiat 600
- MG3
- Peugeot 3008
- Skoda Kodiaq
- Suzuki Swift
- Toyota C-HR
- Volkswagen Tiguan
- Volvo EX30
In these models, which were chosen amid tough competition this year among the 33 completely new models that began to be available in our country in the last twelve months, almost all fuels and drive systems are represented. Two are all-electric, two also have all-electric versions, three are available as plug-in hybrids, one is also offered with a dual-fuel engine (LPG and petrol), three also have diesel versions, while nine have versions with a petrol engine and some form of electric -mild or full hybrid assistance.

The selection of the 11 finalists by the electors was made, as always, with criteria related to technology, safety, quality, the completeness of the range, the cost of purchase and use, respect for the environment, but also every other characteristic of which contributes so that a car fits the Greek reality and the drivers’ preferences.
The path to the “Car of the Year 2025” for Greece will be completed in the second ten days of December 2024 with the public voting of the electors in a special event.
This year, 26 and not 27 electors will vote for the winner, due to the tragic loss of his distinguished colleague, member of the Board of Directors of the Car of the Year for Greece, Giorgos Varinou, a fact that causes sadness to the members of the institution, but also more widely in the automotive sector in Greece.

About the “Car of the Year” for Greece
“Car of the Year for Greece” is an independent, non-profit journalistic institution with a registered legal form, which annually awards the best of the completely new models launched in our country in the last 12 months. The institution consists of 27 members, professional car editors, started its activity in 2006, with the selection of the “Car of the Year 2007” and since then has had an uninterrupted presence in the Greek automotive reality. The aim of the institution is to promote motoring as a whole, through the promotion of those vehicles that ideally combine manufacturing excellence, safety, sustainability, reliability and the features that make them ideal for Greek drivers.
This year, the process of highlighting the “Car of the Year 2025” for Greece is supported by the insurance company “Allianz”, the trading company of spare parts and garage equipment “Yaponiki” with the network of garages “Autofit”, the company specialized in car logistics “Ferst” and “EMA SA”, which imports and distributes “Continental” tires in Greece.
