Carlos Abreu Amorim takes over the social communications portfolio

The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Pedro Duarte, delegated the media portfolio to the Deputy Secretary of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Carlos Abreu Amorim, according to the order published today in the Official Gazette.

According to dispatch no. 7787/2024, of July 16, the minister “delegates, with the power of subdelegation, to the Deputy Secretary of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Carlos Eduardo Almeida de Abreu Amorim, the competence to carry out various acts”.

“I delegate, with the power of sub-delegation, when legally admissible, to the Secretary of State for the Deputy and Parliamentary Affairs”, powers such as “those attributed to me by law in relation to all matters and the performance of all acts relating to the following services, bodies and entities”, namely the “General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, exclusively with regard to the area of ​​social communication”, “Lusa – Agência de Notícias de Portugal, SA” and “RTP – Rádio e Televisão de Portugal, SA”.

The minister also delegates the “Cinema and Audiovisual Institute, IP, in matters of incentives for cinematographic and audiovisual production and the capture of international footage for Portugal, without prejudice to the powers of other members of the Government”.

The order takes effect on April 5, 2024.
