In Chittagong, the situation is still in limbo in the case of masked people being shot and injured in Raujan. The police said that five people involved were arrested after the case was registered.
This information was confirmed by the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Raujan Police Station on Saturday at 7:30 PM. Arrested 5 people, Raujan Upazila Noapara Union No. 4 Ward Md. Son of Idris. Rubel (31), his brother. Jewel (23), Md. of the same area. Babul’s son. Abdul (20) and son of late Abul Majhi of Brahmin Hat area of Bagwan Union. Kamal alias Patta Kamal, Bablu (28) son of late Nurul Islam of the same area.
Deputy Inspector (SI) of Raujan police station. Alamgir said that a case was filed on Friday night in the shooting of several people in the same area by the masked men. 5 people involved in the incident have been arrested in various areas of Noapara Union of Raujan Upazila.
The arrested 5 people were sent to jail through the Chittagong court on Saturday. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Raujan police station Mir Mahabubur Rahman said, “Injured Mohiuddin’s brother Md. Salahuddin was the plaintiff and filed the case on Friday night.
5 people involved in the incident have been arrested. Various evidences have been recovered from Tadre and they have initially admitted their involvement in the incident.
Efforts are on to arrest others involved in the incident. The raid was conducted today (yesterday Saturday). The OC claims that the situation is currently under control.
Incidentally, 15 people were injured in the firing by a group of 20-25 masked men in Niramishpara area of Ward No. 4 of Neyapara Union of Raujan Upazila at around 9 pm last Thursday. Among them, 11 people have received treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
