A cow trader named Rezaul Islam (42) died after a shallow engine driven vat carrying cows overturned in Atrai, Naogaon.
The accident took place at Bajrapur Tatipukur Bridge area of the upazila around 10 am on Saturday. The deceased is the son of Kiamat Ali of Bajrapur village of Rezaul Islam upazila.
According to local sources, the deceased Rezaul Islam used to trade cattle. On Saturday morning, Shallow left for the nearby market in an engine-driven bhavto to sell the cows. Meanwhile, the car lost control and fell into a ditch in Tatipukur area of Bajrapur. In this, Rezaul Islam was buried under the boat and suffered severe injuries on his chest and back. Local people immediately rescued him and took him to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where he died.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Atrai police station in this regard. Sahabuddin confirmed the truth of the incident and said that it is very sad.
