“The children came to the Games with a smile, we will do everything to keep them happy”!
Plasma Youth Sports Games are the only manifestation in the region that entered the program UEFA Foundation for children, headed by Aleksander Čeferin to the president UEFA-and ambassador of the Games. All activities and competitions from the first to the last event are completely free for all participants. Plasma Youth Sports Games are the largest amateur sports event in Europewhich is through 28 years of existence, promoting sports and a sporty lifestyle, has enriched the lives of more than 3.088.000 children and young people.
A rather crowded hall of the Croatian Home in Split with an appropriate program and the presence of a large number of dignitaries from sports, business and public life in the region and Europe Alta banka of the closing ceremony of the 28th season of the Plasma Youth Sports Games was held All-Star and Sport Bank within which the ceremony of announcing the new ambassadors of SIM was organized, namely, top sportsmen, former football players Aleksandar Kolarov and Šime Vrsaljko.
New ambassadors of the Games in their performance in front of a packed hall and the media, they emphasized that it was a great pleasure and honor to be chosen as ambassadors and that they accepted the new “function” without thinking.
The former Serbian national team player has a brilliant career behind him, but he remembers that there were no events like this when he was growing up.
– Considering that in my time it wasn’t organized like that, it is certain that I would have participated in the Games, but the new generations have that chance and I hope that we, the new old ambassadors with Zdravko’s help, can normally help them and we will do it . I think this is a great thing for them, we will make ourselves available for some of them to go that way tomorrow, and above all, as I said at the presentation, the most important thing is that they be good people, but I think that sport has fair at its core play so I think that’s kind of the essence of it all – said Aleksandar Kolarov.
– It is very important, important for the development of our children, for the development of their character, for their future life and all that sport brings in itself. It doesn’t matter if it’s amateur or professional sport, sport as a sport is always the best and most beautiful. I think that this is the right way and simply that we cannot escape from this project, because this project is a voice that can be heard far away. Children feel, you can’t fool children, children feel emotion and that’s exactly what I was a part of when I was ten years old. I think that’s all I have, according to Zdravko, to push it further and to promote only the best, what I’ve experienced on my own skin, and to educate our children and our future – said Šime Vrsljko in his speech.

– All in all, I want to praise my team again, not only the people who are there in the games, that team of 50 people who are always there, but also all the coordinators, all the presenters, all the professors in the Games. When there is a competition, there are more than 3,500 people, so thanks to them, they all put in a lot of work to make managed to close all this on time. We really, even when we choose ambassadors, we exclusively look at whether they have human qualities, we say that it is not exactly the case that the title is not given, it happened the way it is given. I am glad they are here and we expect a lot from them – said Zdravko Marić, President of Plazma Sports Games for the young, to the media.

– Eight months of serious work are behind us. The crowning glory is the Alta Banka International Final in Split. The children are satisfied, and that is the most important thing for us. They are from 19-24. in August they swam, socialized and competed. There were tears of joy, but also these others, of course much less. For us, they are all winners and medal winners. From children, we adults have a lot to learn, and we hope that this world will be much better when they grow up and be here instead of us. – says the President of Plazma Sports Games Serbia, Marija Mihajlović.
At the end of the promotion of the new ambassadors, a Review match was organized in the game “Between two fires”, with the participation of ambassadors and friends of the Games, athletes and people from the public life of the region and Europe

Teams Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina they supported Predrag Mijatović, Šime Vrsaljko, Johanes Han, Mehmed Baždarević, Barbara Matić, Andreja Leški and Aitor Karanka.
As part of the rich program of Alta banka All-Star Sports Day, Riva also hosted the award-winning sports and environmental project “Zero Waste – Be part of the game – Let’s protect our planet”. At the educational training ground, the children participating in the International Finals once again showed how sport and ecology go together and presented waste sorting in a fun way.
The program of the closing ceremony ended with a show chess tournament in which the chess grandmaster was present Aleksandra Dimitrijević and grandmaster Zurab Azmaiparashvililed by Arkady Dvorkovichpresident of FIDE – the World Chess Organization, played chess on the Riva with young chess players from all four countries. The colors of Serbia were defended by Milica, Velja, Matej, Nikola and Daria, medal winners at the Games.
Knowledge and creativity in playing chess were demonstrated by all participants. Matej Jokić from Kragujevac showed that even small chess players can beat grandmasters by forcing Grandmaster Zurab Azmaiparashvili to surrender in the 32nd move. The queen’s piece ended up with Matej and that move marked the victory.
“This international final will be remembered for the creation of friendships among children from all four countries, with a handful of beautiful fair play moves,” said Filip Komarica, director of the Plasma Sports Games of Serbia competition.
