Cervoz’s 22 x 30 mm network card ran at a speed of 2.5 gigabit

The construction, which can be installed in a variety of ways, tolerates heat well and is a great choice for, for example, 4K broadcasting or fast NASs.

Cervoz presented a very compact network card, M.2 2230 (Key A+E) format MEC-LAN-2631i-t, which is capable of reaching 2.5 gigabit speeds thanks to Intel’s i226-IT controller. The only solution that requires a PCI Express 2.1 lane can work in the ambient temperature range from -40 to 85 °C, and it has a downloadable driver for Windows 10 and 11.

The hardware, which also exists in the M.2 2280 (Key B+M) version, provides an RJ-45 connector on a separate module, for which the manufacturer has its own MECFIX offers recording. As a result, the unit carrying the socket can be installed equally with a standard PCI frame or its half-height version, but it can also be used inside our system, possibly on the front or back of the target machine, with an individually sized outlet. The 20-pin cable connecting the printed circuit boards is 30 cm long.

The purchase price of the NIC supporting IEEE 802.3x and IEEE 802.3z flow control and the Wake-on-LAN function is not discussed on the product page, but its 3-year warranty is mentioned in its specification list.
