CES 2025: AMD secretly brought a few new processors

The company did not mention these at the CES presentation, but they already appeared in the products at the partners’ stands.

AMD unveiled a number of new Ryzens at CES, including the entire Ryzen 200 mobile series, but the company has released even more processors in secret, some of which have not been reported in detail. As for the models missing from the announcements, it can be said that the desktop Ryzen 9000 series has been expanded, even downwards, as the Ryzen 5 9600 model has appeared, the parameters of which are detailed in the table below:

AMD’s new Ryzen 9000 processor generation
Type Core/Turbo Clock SMT L2 cache L3 cache Consumption (TDP)

The novelty, which can be inserted into the Socket AM5 socket, will be available for OEMs, as well as in a boxed form, in the latter case, the Wraith Stealth cooler will be added to it.

On the mobile level, the series codenamed Dragon Range, presented a year ago, will receive an update, which will culminate in a new stepping revision. The parameters of the upcoming developments are shown in the table below:

AMD Dragon Range Refresh – Ryzen 8040HX mobile generation with Zen 4 cores
