CES 2025: Even aliens are pushing with 4K, 240 Hz QD-OLED monitors

The new design language is called AW30, which is meant to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary.

At the exhibition in Las Vegas, Alienware, under the supervision of Dell, was present – among other things – with a gaming monitor that combines a 26.7-inch screen with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and promises a refresh rate of 240 Hz.

The AW2725Q standard solution, typically consuming 31.1 watts, comes with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible, VESA AdaptiveSync, and Dolby Vision HDR plecsnik and 250 cd/m2with a typical brightness of 1000 cd/m with 3 percent APL2creeps up to in HDR mode. The VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black-certified screen uses a quantum-precision OLED panel, so the GtG response time is 0.03 milliseconds, which is common in the category, and it displays 1.07 billion colors with 99 percent DCI-P3 color space coverage.

The PiP/PbP-friendly delta E<2 color accuracy display has a rounded back with a DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1 FRL inputs (one of which enables Dolby Atmos pass-through thanks to eARC/ARC support), a 15 watt USB Type-C connector, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and a 3.5 mm audio jack, and Its base, connected to a 100 x 100 mm VESA mounting point and equipped with a cable guide channel, can be moved in any way, including the two-way pivot.

The interface of the OSD menu of the Interstellar Indigo-colored device, which will debut in Europe in March at a purchase price of $900 (net), has also been renewed and is compatible with version number 6.6 Alienware Command Center with software. The warranty period is 3 years, and this also applies to possible burn-in, which is otherwise protected against by an artificial intelligence algorithm and a graphite sheet.
