(CES @ 2025): No Dream, FlowBeams Finds Way to Inject Liquid Medicines Without Needles

European health and wellness startups showcased some of the most interesting technology at CES, and Dutch startup FlowBeams developed a needle-free injection technology to fundamentally transform multiple industries, including pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. It uses laser technology to heat the liquid in a narrow channel, creating a bubble that pushes the liquid through the skin at high speed, allowing her injection without needles.

The process is virtually painless and is completed in less than 1 millisecond.

With this technology proposed by FlowBeams, it is possible to have the most precise injection of fluid at a specific skin depth, which can increase the effectiveness of each treatment. It also reduces biohazard waste, combats needle phobias and prevents incidents of patient-to-patient transmission in the event of an accident, e.g. needle stick.

It can be used in applications including vaccines, insulin and cosmetic treatments, making it a promising solution for many industries.
