The first men’s team of CF Martorell lost 1-4 against the Grama Sports Foundation and could not win the Josep Ramon Vigueras Tournament, which was celebrating its fourth edition this year. The Martorelles, who will compete again this season in Primera Catalana, played the third pre-season friendly match at Torrent de Llops against a team from Tercera RFEF, a category that represents the fifth step in the structure of state football.
The team coached by Raúl de Amo, who improved in the second half, could not with a team that dominated the duel from the start. The coach explains that receiving the first goal so soon made them go to tow: “In the first minutes Grama were better than us and in the 2nd minute we had already conceded the first goal. Then we managed to have a good second half, having a little more presence, more ball and more arrivals”.
De Amo also adds that they faced a much more seasoned team: “Next week they are already playing in the official competition and we were playing our third pre-season game. So take it easy, we’re on the right track in these two weeks. We have to continue working”.

Despite the defeat in the Josep Ramon Vigueras Tournament, yesterday Sunday the white-and-reds were able to recover and achieved a well-deserved victory in the complicated field of Unió Atlética Horta (0-1). Thanks to a goal by Oussama Chlih, CF Martorell managed to win the fourth pre-season duel against an ELIT League team.
The next preparatory match for the first men’s team of CF Martorell will be this Thursday, September 5 at Torrent de Llops, when they receive the visit of a team that will compete in Group 3 of Segona Catalana: UD Unificación Bellvitge. On Sunday, September 8, the Martorelles will play at home again, in this case against EE Guineueta ‘A’, a team from Group 2 of Primera Catalana.
In this fourth edition of the competition, Josep Ramon Vigueras presented the champions’ trophy and also received a gift from the board of directors of CF Martorell.
