Chabir Young Columnists Forum is led by Mahfuz and Mihir

Bangladesh Tarun Columnists Forum, Chittagong University Branch Executive Committee for the 2024-25 working year has been formed. Mahfuzur Rahman, a student of the Arabic department of Chittagong University, was nominated as the president and Mesbah Uddin Mihir, a student of the same department of Chittagong University, became the general secretary.

The president of the organization Amjad Hossain Hriday and general secretary Imran Uddin gave this information in a press release on Saturday.

In the circular, the new president and general secretary have been asked to form a full committee within the next seven working days and submit it to the central office cell.

Newly elected Chittagong University President Mahfuzur Rahman said, ‘I am grateful to the Central Executive Board for nominating me as the President of the Chabi branch. Through writing, I will work towards the intellectual development of the young generation and to create responsibility towards the society and the state. It will also emphasize on youth writing, organizational skills development and self-development activities. I seek the cooperation of all members of the Chittagong University branch to carry out the duties assigned to me properly.

Newly elected Chittagong University General Secretary Mesbah Uddin Mihir said, ‘Special thanks to the Central Executive Board for giving me the responsibility of General Secretary. Author forums help to develop writers as well as become better organizers. Now comes the opportunity to work with the youth and prove myself as a good organizer. Hopefully, with everyone’s cooperation and support, I will be able to return the Chabi branch to its place of pride as the best branch, Inshallah.’

It should be noted that Bangladesh Young Columnist Forum, Chittagong University branch started its journey in 2019. The organization organizes meetings, seminars and workshops on writing, including giving advice to young writers, helping them publish their writings in newspapers.
