Changes on the car market: Renault Commercial Romania could be without the Nissan brand from June 1, 2025

Imports of the Nissan brand could be taken over from June 1, 2025 by a new consortium, according to data from the local car market.

The cited sources say that Auto Wallis and Salvador Caetano are the two companies that could take over Nissan imports in Romania.

Auto Wallis is currently the SsangYong importer on the local market.

These were in the Nissan portfolio for more than 25 years, since Renault came to Romania and bought the Dacia factory.

The same sources say that services will remain in the current formula, customers not being affected, but sales will be managed by a new company. The main unknown remains if they will continue to rely on the agent idea or the new representation will follow the importer model that manages imports and stocks for the local market. Currently, Dacia, Renault and Nissan dealers follow the agent model, the invoice for the new car being issued by Renault Commercial Roumanie.
