The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is the most sensational “red” of the contemporary era. Its primacy comes from an incredible mix of beauty, technology, emotions, driving pleasure. Even Charles Leclerc owns one. The “prancing horse” driver is enthusiastic about this special model. It occupies the main place in his heart, even though he has other noble models of the brand in his garage.
I specify the treatment of the specimen registered to him. It is a “one of a kind“, or rather a one-of-a-kind car. What makes the difference is the specific setup. Nothing to do with the mechanics: the work focused on the livery and the details of the interior spaces. For a limited period of time, this exclusive Ferrari Daytona SP3 will be on display at Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena. It is already on display, to capture the guests’ sensory apparatus.
In the official video released in the last few hours by the Maranello company, Charles Leclerc himself illustrates the special features he has chosen for his model, with which he has often been immortalised on the streets of Monte Carlo. The adaptation to the tastes of the Monegasque driver bears the signature of the department Tailor Madechosen by customers looking for a tailor-made “toy”, tailored to their personal tastes. The model can now be admired at the Modena museum dedicated to the founder of the “prancing horse” company, where it is preparing to capture the eyes and hearts of thousands of people.
The bodywork of this Ferrari Daytona SP3 is characterised by a matt black colour, with a longitudinal stripe that matches the colours of the Principality of Monaco. Even the passenger compartment, with contrasting tones, presents a specific blend, coined on the input of the famous client. As we said, no modifications were made to the mechanics, in line with the typical work of the “Tailor Made” program, which focuses on other aspects, of an aesthetic and non-functional nature.
Under the sinuous rear hood exerts its thrust a naturally aspirated V12 engine 6.5 liters of displacement, capable of delivering 840 HP of maximum power, with anthology sounds. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is liquidated in 2.85 seconds, while the sprint from 0 to 200 km/h is archived after 7.4 seconds. The maximum speed pushes into the territory of 340 km/h. Its handling is a reference, which Charles Leclerc knows how to exploit to the fullest.
