Charlotte or apple pie with a twist

Real autumn has arrived and this weekend you want to warm up with a warm cup of tea with something tasty. A charlotte made from local apples will be an excellent accompaniment to tea.

Ingredients:

– 5 – 6 apples,

– 3-4 eggs,

– a glass of sugar,

– a glass of rye flour,

– a handful of raisins,

– 1 h. l. vanilla sugar,

– ground cinnamon,

– powdered sugar for serving.

Preparation:

Prepare a baking dish and grease its edges with oil. To prevent burning, you can sprinkle a little flour.

Peel and core 5-6 apples (depending on their size). The more apples in the pie, the tastier it is. Cut the apples into 2-3cm pieces and place in the prepared baking dish. Beat eggs with sugar. You can add less sugar or use other sweeteners instead. Add raisins and vanilla sugar to the dough for sweetness. Then add flour. If you want the cake to be more airy, you can add a little baking powder.

Fill the apples with the prepared dough. It will be quite thick, so you will need to spread it with a spoon or spatula so that it evenly covers all the apples. Sprinkle cinnamon on top and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 30 minutes. When the cake is ready and cooled, you can sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
