Its name is simple: chat.com. And the OpenAI company did not hesitate to spend on it, according to the DN Journal server 15.5 million dollars (about 371 million crowns).
For users of ChatGPT and other language models from OpenAI, nothing actually changes. They can continue to access them at the original web addresses. But if you enter only chat.comyou will be immediately redirected directly to chatGPT (that is, to the URL chatgpt.com). Which is very practical and will make it much easier for many people with poor memory to find this chatbot.
Of OpenAI so this is a unique move. Not only is the domain easy to remember and a perfect match for the popular chatbot, but it also has a long history. It was registered for the first time in 1996. And in March, the intention to sell it was announced.
