For many years, it seemed that the position of China’s Aliexpress was unshakable. But then the Temu platform appeared, which was able to compete with the Chinese juggernaut on prices. Amazon launched the Haul platform to compete with both e-shops.

Amazon launched its own e-shop with cheap Haul goods.
For many years, it seemed that no one could shake the position of China’s Aliexpress. After all, it was hard to imagine that a large Chinese platform, which is close to local manufacturers of goods of all kinds, could be threatened. If so, just another Chinese platform that can push the price down even more. And that’s how the Temu platform was born, which, thanks to massive investments in advertising, is becoming more and more popular in the world. The American giant Amazon thinks it could compete with both online stores.
These days, Amazon introduced its own store with cheap goods called Haul. Unlike its Chinese counterparts, it will not sell dollar or cent items, but the prices of clothing and small electronics will be extremely low by American standards. It is precisely in the United States that Haul starts. The timing couldn’t have been better. Due to the victory of Donald Trump in the presidential election, there is a threat that his administration will introduce import tariffs on Chinese goods early next year. Therefore, shopping on Chinese websites becomes more expensive for Americans, and goods for five dollars can suddenly become an item with twice the price tag. In addition, it is often necessary to wait several long weeks for its delivery. However, Amazon has the ambition to offer immediate delivery of ultra-cheap products, similarly to its original branded store.
On the Haul platform, Amazon will exclusively sell items priced under $20. But as he states in his press release, most of them will be priced below $10. For now, Haul is only available on a limited basis and only to customers in the United States who can purchase products through the Amazon mobile app. Everything is on offer – from cheap electronics to fashion and household items. Amazon also offers its own warranty for all purchases. Although Amazon does not deliver orders immediately, customers should not wait more than one to two weeks for them. Shipping is free for orders over $25, and customers pay $4 for delivery for orders below $25. Purchased goods can also be returned within 15 days.
