As an electric SUV which is claimed to have offroad capabilities like conventional engined products, the Chery J6 itself has a unique design, namely the ‘Fashion Cube Box’.
Thanks to this design, the electric car is believed to be able to devour various road surfaces, both asphalt and dirt surfaces. The J6 itself is the first electric off-road SUV in Indonesia.
This offroad EV model targets Indonesian consumers who are young, classy and live in urban areas with a high spirit of exploration and productivity.
Head of Brand Department PT CSI, Rifkie Setiawan said, the Chery J6 is here not only to prioritize comfort and performance, but is also the first step towards a new trend in a sustainable mobility lifestyle.
“This Chery J6 is proof of our commitment to present a vehicle that is flexible and provides added value for Indonesian consumers,” explained Rifkie, during the launch at the Chery booth.
The J6’s superiority when tackling off-road terrain is due to the use of an anti-corrosion aluminum chassis, providing superior durability in various weather and road conditions in Indonesia.
The technology embedded in the BOX Style EV SUV body makes the car lighter and more efficient without sacrificing durability, and provides maximum driving comfort.
The Chery J6 also uses aluminum H-Arm Suspensions to increase driving stability, even on bumpy or uneven terrain.
On the other hand, this car also provides flexibility for owners to determine their driving style with the availability of the AWD (All-Wheel Drive) variant.
This model is claimed to be suitable for offroad terrain with fast performance and a range of up to 418 km, making this variant remain competitive on difficult terrain without worrying about running out of power.
There is also a RWD (Rear-Wheel Drive) variant with a range of 426 km, which is ideal for daily use in cities with better energy efficiency.
For comfort, the Chery J6 is also equipped with various premium features such as a Large Panoramic Sunroof, an advanced safety system with 14 ADAS, 8+X driving modes for flexible use on various terrains.
There are also 12 Infinity Speakers by Harman, a massage chair, an Armor Battery system with IP67, IPX8, IPX9K protection and 19 inch alloy wheels guarantee the vehicle’s toughness in extreme terrain conditions.
Then ventilated seats in all rows of seats ensure comfort during long journeys, as well as a 15.6 inch touch screen that makes it easy to operate advanced technology.
Including the V2L Charger which supports an environmentally friendly lifestyle by allowing the vehicle to become an electrical power source, ideal for outdoor activities.
Apart from that, the J6 is also equipped with a multidimensional cube space which provides practicality with 36 storage spaces to ensure that every item you carry can be neatly arranged.
This practicality is thanks to the flexible luggage capacity of 450 L in normal conditions, and can be expanded to 1,238 L with the seats folded, suitable for weekend trips or activities with the family.
Chery presents the J6 in the RWD variant for IDR 498 million and the AWD type which is priced at IDR 558 million in on the road (OTR) status in Jakarta. Five color options are available.
Chery Indonesia also offers a Phantom variant that looks more masculine at a price of IDR 548 million for the RWD and IWD types which are priced at IDR 608 million.
Especially while at GJAW, this variant is purchased at a special price, namely IDR 528 million for RWD and IDR 588 million for the IWD variant. Chery Indonesia promises unit distribution starting December 2024.
