Children of Morta, created by the American studio Dead Mage and published by Polish 11 bit studios, premiered in 2019 and was quite well received by players and critics. As previously announced, it is also available on iOS devices from today.
Children of Morta is a hack’n’slash action-RPG with roguelike elements. We play as members of the Bergson family, which has been living on the slope of the titular mountain for generations, guarding its secrets. When one day Morta is attacked by a mysterious force that turns the local animals into bloodthirsty monsters, the Bergsons set out on a mission to solve the problem. During the game, we will have to make our way through procedurally generated dungeons, controlling individual family members who differ not only in appearance, but also in playing style and skills. The game puts a lot of emphasis on the plot, from time to time giving players the opportunity to make decisions that influence how the story will unfold.
The Playdigious studio is responsible for porting Children of Morta to iOS, having produced quite successful ports of games such as Dead Cells, Little Nightmares and Streets of Rage 4. The mobile version of the game also includes all the content from the Ancient Spirits and Paws and Claws expansions. . The creators also announced that they will soon release an update adding an online cooperation mode.
