In principle, the models with limited consumption will be able to be exported to the eastern country.

Last week, we wrote about Intel bringing its latest Gaudi 3 product family accelerators designed for machine learning, of which the two models with OAM and the one that can be inserted into a PCI Express interface were also mentioned in the linked news.
However, it turned out that China will receive separate versions, that is, in addition to the three presented Gaudi 3, there will also be an OAM and a PCI Express interface development. Compared to the presented trio, the only difference will be that the TDP consumption of the accelerators intended for China will be limited to 450 watts. This allows Intel to bypass US restrictions, allowing development to be exported to the Eastern superpower.
Of course, the reduction in consumption will have a considerable disadvantage in terms of speed, so China essentially gets significantly slower Gaudi 3 accelerators.
