On Christmas Eve, two bridges in St. Petersburg will be illuminated in white. In addition to the festive illumination of the crossings, the center of the Northern capital will be decorated with lit torches of the Rostral Columns.
The supports and spans of the Palace and Trinity bridges will be painted white on the eve of the Nativity of Christ. At the same time, a flickering effect will be added to the lighting design of the Trinity Bridge, the press service of the St. Petersburg administration reported.
Smolny clarified that the holiday lights will be turned on at 16:25 on January 6 and turned off at 23:59 on January 7 with a pause during the day – from 09:45 to 16:25.
The torches of the Rostral Columns will “light up” at 23:55 on January 6th. They are scheduled to be turned off at 03:30 on January 7.
