Christopher Reeve’s son Will Reeve follows in his father’s footsteps into the world of Superman.

The Superman movie directed by James Gunn and starring David Corenswet is expected to be released in cinemas in the summer of 2025. Will Reeve, the son of the late Superman star Christopher Reeve, will also appear in the movie in a cameo role.

“I know the makers of the film, they have been very kind to me and my family, so when I had a day off, I went and did it,” says Reeve.

The deadline according to the news, Reeve will play a TV reporter in the film, which would sound appropriate because Reeve also works as a news reporter for ABC in real life. However, all more detailed information is still a secret.

“I don’t really know what I’m allowed to say. It was a really great experience, they were super friendly and everything was quick and easy. I was actually more nervous than I ever am in my normal TV work because there were so many people around me and I had to memorize my lines, but still,” Reeve feels.

Gunn has said that the filming of Superman is nearing its end. In addition to Corenswet playing the title role, the film also stars Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, María Gabriela de Faría, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, Sean Gunn, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Isabel Merced and Nathan Fillion.

The premiere of the film is on July 11, 2025.
