Chrysler has confirmed that the Halcyon concept (presented last year) will also receive a production version.

In an interview with CNBC, Chrysler brand CEO Kristin Fuel said the Halcyon will end production, but did not specify when that would happen.

The production version’s styling will apparently be toned down considerably, but it will likely still retain the sleek coupe-like profile.

In addition to the production version of the Halcyon, Chrysler is working on a large SUV, as well as a redesign of the Voyager and Pacifica. It is not known if the new models will be offered exclusively as an EV or if they will still have the option of a gasoline engine.

Halcyon heralds the future of the Chrysler brand, encompassing exterior and interior design based on sustainability, a personalized driving experience, futuristic technology and seamless connectivity.

Halcyon, designed on the STLA Large platform, offers an aerodynamic and uncompromising vision of the future exterior character of the Chrysler brand. The combination of technology and performance in the concept works in harmony with the clean, aerodynamic exterior design that ingeniously incorporates aerodynamic elements.

The interior is an immersive environment with a range of almost 360 degrees, which has a duality that provides a cockpit of “digital detox” through stress-free autonomous functions.

The sculpted cockpit is focused by a pillar-to-pillar transparent display. Complementing the display is a 15.6-inch console screen that can be removed to aid in booting and quick access to information. The displays can be fully controlled with voice recognition commands.
