Cinematic pursuit in the center of Thessaloniki!

A cinematic chase took place in the center of Thessaloniki on Tuesday night. It all started when the crew of the Immediate Action patrol car considered the driver of a black Mercedes vehicle to be suspicious and signaled him to stop. He ignored the cops and sped off.

According to information from thestival.gr, the chase started from Monastiriou Street, near the Thessaloniki Police Station. The driver of the pursued vehicle violated dozens of red lights and reached the city center. He passed Nikis Avenue, Mitropoleos Street, Stratou Avenue moving at excessive speed and got stuck at the junction of Fleming and Deliiorgis streets, in the Delphi area.

The pursuit involved several patrol cars that were called by the operations center to assist. Officers handcuffed the driver and searched the vehicle without, however, finding anything illegal. The arrested person told the police that he is Turkish. A case file will be filed against him and he will be taken to the public prosecutor.
