Cisco launches new solutions to accelerate AI adoption

The new AI solutions have been developed in collaboration with NVIDIA and are scalable for companies’ growing AI needs.

– Cisco introduces plug-and-play AI solutions that make it easier for partners to sell and for customers to deploy AI infrastructure.

– Cisco is also expanding the UCS portfolio with a new group of AI servers for NVIDIA-accelerated computing.

– The upgraded portfolio highlights Cisco’s strategy to accelerate enterprise AI adoption by offering an open, scalable and simple approach to AI infrastructure.

At Cisco’s annual Partner Summit, Cisco unveiled a number of new additions to its data center infrastructure portfolio. These consist, among other things, of an AI server family specially developed for GPU-intensive AI tasks with NVIDIA-accelerated computing, as well as AI PODs that simplify and reduce the risk of investing in AI infrastructure.

The new solutions provide access to the infrastructure companies need to accelerate AI adoption. The solutions extend customers’ existing infrastructure and enable them to grow and innovate without increased complexity.

“Companies are under pressure to implement AI workloads, especially as we move toward autonomous workflows where AI begins to solve problems on its own,” said Jeetu Patel, Chief Product Officer at Ciscoand elaborates: “Cisco innovations like AI PODs and the GPU server strengthen the security, compliance and computing power of these workloads.”

Cisco is breaking the barriers to AI adoption

According to McKinsey, generative AI will contribute 2.6-4.4 billion dollars per year to the global economy, where business is at the forefront of value creation. At the same time, the Cisco AI Readiness Index shows that 89% of IT professionals only plan to implement AI workloads within the next two years, while only 14% of organizations report that their infrastructure is ready for AI today.

The new solutions are managed by Cisco Intersight, which enables centralized control and automation that simplifies everything from configuration to day-to-day operations.

“A new era of intelligent, generative AI applications will transform businesses worldwide. With the launch of its dedicated AI server portfolio, AI PODs, and expanded family of systems with full-stack NVIDIA-accelerated computing and software, Cisco is developing the infrastructure businesses can use as the foundation for growth in the AI age,” said Bob Pette, vice president for Enterprise Platforms at NVIDIA.
