The new range of Citroen electric utility vehicles occupies the first three positions in the sales ranking in Romania. What are the models chosen by Romanian customers?
In less than a year after its launch, the new range of Citroen utility vehicles manages to gain a significant market share in the electric car segment, reaching second place in the preferences of customers interested in this segment.
Since its launch in Romania in the spring of this year, Citroen’s new range of electric utility vehicles has gained a significant market share of 17.3%. This year there was an increased interest of large and medium-sized companies as well as professionals in Romania in the segment of utility vehicles under 5,200 kg authorized mass.
The Citroen brand has confirmed with a wide range of LCV models it is still in its infancy. One of the best-known and best-selling internal combustion models to date, the Citroen Berlingo Van, has also received an electric version as well as the Citroen Jumpy and Citroen Jumper. These new versions led the Citroen brand to an increase of over 500% in Romania compared to last year.
Electric utility vehicles from Citroen are gaining popularity among Romanian customers
The smallest model of the three, the Citroen e-Berlingo offers up to 320 kilometers of autonomy according to the WLTP test standards. The manufacturer also says that the battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in just 20 minutes. Being a small van, it is a good choice for urban or short-distance transport in metropolitan areas.
For those looking for more space and functionality, there is the e-Jumpy, which is equipped with hands-free sliding side doors, a moduwork system intended for the transport of objects up to 4 meters long. Depending on the chosen configuration, the e-Jumpy offers a loading volume between 5.3 m³ and 6.6 m³.
The largest electric utility model – the e-Jumper – has a load capacity of 1,900 kilograms and a maximum load volume of 17 m³. According to the manufacturer, the electric utility vehicle can travel up to 430 kilometers on a single charge, and charging sessions can be scheduled remotely using a mobile phone.
