MacPawa leading developer of software for macOS and iOS, today announced the launch of the open beta of Setapp Mobile, one of the first alternative app stores for iPhone users.

Created by MacPaw, Setapp Mobile offers a new level of flexibility to iPhone users, with the ability to download and manage their favorite apps directly on their devices. By using a single subscription based model, Setapp simplifies the experience for users and offers developers fair compensation based on app usage and market performance.

To access Setapp Mobile, users must have iOS 17.4 or later and an Apple ID associated with an EU member state. Existing Setapp subscribers in the EU with the “Power User” and “AI Expert” plans will automatically have access to Setapp Mobile at no additional cost. Users with other plans can downgrade to the “iOS Advanced,” “Power User,” or “AI Expert” plans to continue using Setapp Mobile. Users of the previous beta version will no longer have access starting September 18.
