Gábor Kovács received 909 votes, while Tibor Farkas 410 and Tibor Molnár 86 of his two independent opponents in the by-election held for the title of mayor of Tompa in Bács-Kiskun county – it turned out from the result published on the website of the National Electoral Office.
1,410 of the 3,668 registered voters appeared in the voting. Five votes were invalid
– they wrote in the announcement.
Calling for the vote was necessary because László Véh (independent), who won the municipal election on June 9, resigned from his position on September 1.
