CMF Phone 1 strives to distinguish itself from other phones in the same price category, instead of technical features, above all with its customizability.
Nothing’s more affordable CMF by Nothing brand has held its long-awaited launch event today. At the event, the brand’s first phone, as well as second-generation headphones and a lightweight smartwatch, were released.
The CMF Phone 1 is a low-end phone that stands out from the crowd with its customizability rather than its technical features. The back cover of the phone is attached with four screws and one finger screw and is therefore easily replaceable. At the same time, a place for additional accessories is revealed behind the large finger screw, which at least initially includes a stand that holds the phone upright, a lanyard and a card case for three cards that is attached to the back cover of the phone with magnets in addition to the screw.

CMF Watch Pro 2 is equipped with a 1.32″ AMOLED screen (466×466, 353 PPI, 60 Hz) and it supports up to 120 different sports modes. It supports clock management, e.g. rotating crown button and wrist gestures. The watch is able to measure the user’s heart rate and blood oxygen saturation and it supports the most common satellite positioning technologies.
The IP68-protected Watch Pro 2 connects to the phone via Bluetooth 5.3 and requires at least Android 8.0 or iOS 13 and the CMF Watch application. The watch is equipped with a speaker and a microphone and supports calls over Bluetooth.
The watch is made of aluminum alloy and is available in dark gray and blue. The gray version comes with an ash gray strap made of liquid blue cone rubber, while the blue is paired with an orange leather strap. The frames of the watch are replaceable and both dark and ash gray flat and rounded replacement frames will be available. The watch’s 305 mAh battery is promised to last up to 11 days at best.
The fully wireless CMF Buds Pro 2 headphones are designed to elevate the listening experience with flagship class features, even if the price is something else entirely. Hi-Res Audio Wireless and Dirac Opteo certified earbuds are equipped with 11 mm bass and 6 mm tweeter elements and support LDAC technology. Adaptive background noise reduction promises to reach a level of up to 50 dB in the maximum frequency range of 5000 hertz.
CMF Buds Pro 2 earphones have six HD-level microphones integrated and support Clear Voice Technology 2.0 and Wind-Noise Reduction 2.0 technologies to guarantee the best voice quality. The headphones also support the company’s Spatial Audio Effects surround sounds. The headphones are promised a maximum playback time of 43 hours, including the battery in the case, and they are promised to be charged in ten minutes for 7 hours of playback.
The recommended price of CMF Phone 1 in Finland is 239 euros with 128 GB memory and 269 euros with 256 GB memory. You can get the CMF Watch Pro 2 for 69 and the CMF Buds Pro 2 for 59 euros. Pre-orders for all three will start immediately and actual sales will start on July 12.
