For the second year in a row, the “Unleash the Santa Claus in You” campaign, deployed in more than 75 countries, celebrates the spirit of Santa Claus that lies dormant in each of us and highlights the power of the connections we form .
As the end-of-year holidays approach, Coca-Cola® places the consumer experience at the heart of its campaign. And this year, Coca-Cola® is innovating with a fun and interactive experience based on conversational AI. Sixty years after the creation of the famous Santa Claus by American illustrator Haddon Sundblom, Coca-Cola® brings this iconic character to life thanks to Create Real Magic(TM). The Create Real Magic(TM) experience uses multimodal AI, including 3D avatar generation, real-time chat enabled by generative AI, and image generation to create a unique and personalized experience for each user.
By scanning the QR code on a bottle or can of Coca-Cola®, consumers around the world will be able to interact in real time with an animated version of Santa Claus by Sundblom and share a personal Christmas memory. This memory will come to life in the form of an animated and personalized snow globe thanks to generative AI. To extend the interaction beyond the virtual, this symbolic gift celebrating the Christmas spirit can then be offered to loved ones. A tailor-made experience, designed to encourage sharing and strengthen bonds during the holidays.
Coca-Cola® also offers an immersive experience within the Westfield Les 4 Temps shopping centerin the heart of Paris. Everyone will be able to immerse themselves in the magic of Christmas thanks to an interactive LED screen bringing Santa’s shadow to life. Motion capture technology will allow the latter to reproduce in real time the actions and gestures of consumers present on the site, so that everyone “releases the Santa Claus within them”.
A campaign available on several media
For the festive season, Coca-Cola® dresses its Coca-Cola® Original and Coca-Cola® Unsweetened bottles with a magical design which celebrates the holiday spirit and pays homage to the iconic figure of Santa Claus. Available in 1.75L and 1.25L PET bottles individually and in packs of 6 25CL glass bottles, this limited edition is on sale in supermarkets since November 4 and until December 31 (subject to availability in points of sale).
Thanks to the QR code affixed to these bottles, the brand offers consumers the exceptional opportunity to participate in a big competition* to try to win a magical stay in Laplandto experience the magic of the holidays with their loved ones. Consumers will also be able to try to win Virtuo payment cards and The Fork gift cards to spoil their loved ones*.
The campaign message “Unleash your inner Santa” is also brought to life through powerful new advertisements, depicting Santa’s shadow in everyday poses that everyone can easily relate to. Beyond static and animated advertisements, Coca-Cola® takes the experience even further with an interactive versionusing advanced camera technology to mimic consumer movements in real time.
The return of the film “Unleash the Santa Claus in you”
The iconic advertising film “Unleash the Santa Claus in you”, unveiled by Coca-Cola® in 2023, also returns this year to remind us that a simple act of kindness can awaken the “inner Santa” in each of us .
