A college student named Pritam Chakraborty (17) is reported to have committed suicide with a post on Facebook saying ‘May everyone be well, dear people, may my mother be well’.
According to police sources, Pritam is the son of Manik Chakraborty of Lemuchhari Para of Raikhali Union under Chandraghona Police Station of Kaptai Upazila.
Pritam’s body was recovered from Kodala area of Rangunia upazila of Karnaphuli river on Friday (September 20) night. Chandraghona Police Station OC Md Ansarul Karim confirmed the fact of the recovery of the body and told Azadi at 10 pm on Friday that Pritam left the house in the morning on September 19 (Thursday) defying his family.
He did not return home for the whole day. His body was recovered from Karnaphuli river on Friday night. Since the body was recovered from Rangunia police station area. Chandraghona police station OC Ansarul Karim told Azadi that the legal process will also be done by Rangunia police station.
