Tronsmart continues to focus on affordable Bluetooth speakers, and now has a new series of products, Mirtune, which has a distinct look in some details. We present the review to Tronsmart Mirtune C2a 24W bluetooth speaker available for less than €40.
Main specifications
The Mirtune C2 is one of Tronsmart's latest speakers, with Bluetooth connectivity and a power of 24 W, a very interesting value considering that it weighs only about half a kilo. It integrates two tweeters in opposite directions, thus ensuring immersive sound reproduction.
Like many of Tronsmart's proposals, the Mirtune C2 also features a radiant light system at each end, which can be set to 3 different modes, all reactive to the beat.
The integrated battery guarantees, according to the manufacturer, an astonishing 24 hours of music playback, with the volume at 50%.
The Tronsmart Mirtune C2 is ultra-portable, with a buckle that allows you to easily attach or tie it anywhere. It is waterproof, with IPX7 protection.
Another feature of this speaker is that it can be connected to another Mirtune C2 thanks to TWS technology, and thus work in stereo mode. It supports Bluetooth 5.3, with a maximum range of 15 meters in open areas.
The box only contains the Tronsmart Mirtune C2 speaker, USB charging cable, jack cable for using the AUX connection and the quick instruction manual.
Tronsmart Mirtune C2 construction and design
The Tronsmart Mirtune C2 is a very compact speaker, reminiscent of a common reusable water bottle.
It measures 184 x φ72 mm and weighs only 0.52 kg, combining plastic with a soft mesh in the speaker area. The control buttons are made of rubber, raised, arranged in a line on the cylindrical area.
The ends are the same, with a passive membrane to reinforce the bass, with a transparent circle to allow the LED light to pass through.
Connectivity
The speaker has Bluetooth 5.3, making connection quick and easy, like any other Bluetooth device, without the need for a pre-installed app.
In addition to playing music or audio from any other multimedia app, you can also use it for calls (as it has microphones) and, additionally, it can work with your voice assistant Alexa, Google Assistant or Cortana.
It also has an AUX connection with a 3.5mm jack and supports a TF microSD card for direct music playback.
Sound quality
The Tronsmart Mirtune C2 speaker is ideal for use at summer parties, where there tends to be water involved, ideal to have next to the towel.
It has an interesting sound range for the range, with balanced mids but shallow bass. When the sound is set at a very high level, there is distortion in the treble, making it too shrill.
Verdict
The Tronsmart Mirtune C2 speaker is available for around €36, which is a very interesting price given the quality offered.
The sound reproduction, communication reliability and connection interfaces are immediately positive factors to highlight. The enormous autonomy is also a differentiating factor, unusual in Bluetooth speakers with battery.
