Various programs underway

According to the city on the 27th, sunrise and sunrise events consisting of various programs and experience activities will be held at Daecheon Beach Fountain Square and Seongju Mountain Sunrise Observatory, respectively.

The sunset event will begin at 4 p.m. on the 31st and will include pre-ceremony performances such as samulnori and aerobics, sparkler fireworks, and wish-making.

In particular, a wishing lantern hanging event will be held at the fountain square from the 30th to the 31st, and participants can hang wishing lanterns and make wishes for the new year.

The 2025 Sunrise event will be held on January 1 from 6:50 am to 8:00 am.

There will be a Nongak performance, lighting candles to wish for wishes, New Year’s messages and three cheers for national independence, writing wish message cards, wishing for New Year’s wishes, congratulatory performances, and a performance commemorating the Year of Visiting Chungcheongnam-do.

In particular, unlike the previous year, lighting candles was replaced with the use of mobile phone flashlights, and blowing balloons was replaced with writing wish cards, taking the lead in protecting the environment.

Mayor Kim Dong-il said, “We have prepared this event to share with citizens the precious time of ending the year and welcoming the new year. We hope that many people will participate and have a meaningful time.”
