Done began so well. DR’s new season of ‘Denmark’s next clothing designer’ put sustainability and overconsumption on the agenda. The many designers who are competing to become the new hope in Danish fashion should make clothes that take into account the planet’s resources and preferably start from used materials.
That agenda became particularly relevant with the season’s new judge, the designer Susanne Guldager, who works with sustainable fashion and recycling of textiles. Her fellow judge, the designer Søren Le Schmidt, was also on board with sustainability and stated that you can easily repair clothes if they break.
