COMMENTARY Lelia Munteanu: The article accelerator

If I still took care of myself and – missing since December 30, last year – the Usurper is safe, skiing, I locked myself in the laboratory. (You guessed it: for ten years, my favorite reading is the President’s Agenda).

I am continuing an experiment started the day I learned with astonishment that the earth is not flat. Naturally, since then, I tread very carefully, and I rarely leave my research laboratory, built with the help of distant relatives, some gluttonous library mice.

I’m not afraid to reveal what I’m up to, in a country where even the Services don’t listen to you anymore. I’m secretly building an article accelerator. What am I looking for? So that, mixing everything I’ve written until today, I get to the letter that triggered the madness (graphomania – “pathological tendency to write a lot and pointlessly”).

To get to the first letter, the one that tricked the others into joining him, convincing them that it would be politically correct, dragging them into an adventure of meanings, in which here they are spinning like the light of headlights- ghost.

But what if the laboratory is only in the cage of my mind? Maybe I ended up, like Rabbi Yekusiel Yehuda, arguing with the letters, taking the defense of the words, as he argued with the angels, taking the defense of the people.
