“Telia’s data transmission via an undersea cable in the Baltic Sea was restored on Thursday after Lithuania’s international connection with Sweden was interrupted for almost two weeks,” Telia Lietuva said on Thursday. According to the company, residents of Lithuania did not experience significant inconvenience due to this incident.

Finnish company Cinia on Friday announced that it has fully restored the C-Lion1 submarine fiber optic cable connecting Finland and Germany.

On November 17, one of the three cables connecting Sweden and Lithuania along the bottom of the Baltic Sea was damaged, and on the same day the cable connecting Helsinki and the German city of Rostock was cut.

Investigators believe that two cables in the Baltic Sea may have been damaged by the Chinese ship Yi Peng 3, flying the PRC flag: the ship left the Russian port of Ust-Luga and was then detained by Danish authorities in the Kattegat Strait.
