Competition Authority fines Erba Karavan

The Competition Board decided to impose an administrative fine of 2.3 million lira on Erba Karavan Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti.

According to the announcement published on the Competition Authority’s website, the investigation into the allegations that Erba Karavan Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti. violated the Law on the Protection of Competition has been completed.

The Board decided to end the investigation opened against the company with a settlement regarding the allegations that resellers determined the sales price, and with a commitment regarding the allegations of regional and customer restrictions.

As a result of the conciliation procedure, it was decided to impose an administrative fine of 2 million 269 thousand 283 lira on the enterprise.

The commitment text submitted by the company was deemed appropriate to be accepted as it was capable of resolving the identified competition problems.
